65,000km celebrates the diversity of humanity, by presenting the photographs of one male and one female, aged 20-35, taken in each of 26 countries between London, England and Sydney, Australia.
Each person was selected by a chance encounter or recommendation, for no monetary exchange, during a year-long overland journey in 2015-16. Real, everyday people are the subject of 65,000km, where facial appearance is dicated not by country borders, but geographic considerations; the true dividers of how humanity has spread across the continents.
The result are a series of candid portraits which traverse our planet, connected like string, tens of thousands of kilometres long.
Countries: England, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Eastern Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Mongolia, China, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia.
